  • Experience in drafting of electrical nature (>2 Years)

  • Extensive experience (>2 Years) with AutoCAD software

  • Ability to draw electrical control schematics, wiring/interconnect diagrams, and backplate/panel layouts

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of upstream and midstream oil and gas facilities

  • Knowledge of piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, and motor control schematics.

  • Knowledge of industrial process controls, electronics and field instrumentation

  • Knowledge of electrical control panel and backplate layouts

  • Familiar with electrical equipment such as Switchgear, Motor Control Centers/Enclosures, Distribution Panels, and associated Electrical Equipment

  • Knowledge of commonly used automation controllers (and associated devices) in the industry; including (but not limited to) Allen-Bradley and Siemens

  • Familiar with instrumentation devices such as Transmitters, Process Switches, Control Valves, Motor Operated Valves, and Flow Meters

  • 3D modeling utilizing Solidworks and/or Inventor


  • Develop, modify and update electrical control schematics, wiring/interconnect diagrams and backplate/panel layouts

  • Provide drawings that adhere to industry standard and Company’s drafting principles

  • Communicate with Engineers and other resources to resolve design issues

  • Involvement in design, drafting, and engineering tasks in all areas of interest to SW

  • Willingness to assist others unexpected problems arise

  • Ensure the Company quality assurance procedures are followed

  • Participating in SW meetings and or discussion to make SW better

  • Create/contribute with means of improving our systems and processes

  • Learn new tools and teach others

  • Some overtime/weekend work including answering phone calls after hours (we don’t have set schedules)

  • Willingness to mentor

  • Seek Mentors

Other Requirements

  • Familiarity with electrical codes and standards including NFPA 70 NEC and UL 508A

  • Ability to work extended work schedules

  • Organized and able to communicate with customers effectively

  • Detail oriented
