  • Experience in design and/or drafting in product development.

  • Extensive experience (5+ Years) with Inventor and/or Solidworks software

  • Extensive experience (5+ Years) with machine and fabrication drawings, designing using off the shelf components, providing innovative solutions to the design process

Preferred Experience

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and manufacturing drawings

  • Knowledge of industrial equipment

  • Knowledge of industry specifications

  • 3D modeling


  • Design new products using AutoDesk Inventor and Solidworks

  • Conduct shop visits for reverse engineering of existing equipment

  • Draw 3D mechanical models from sketches or specifications

  • Provide drawings that adhere to industry standard and Company’s drafting principles

  • Communicate with Engineers and other resources to resolve design issues

  • Ensure the Company quality assurance procedures are followed

  • Assemble and test of equipment

  • Meet with customers (travel time)

  • Communicate and develop proposals

  • Participating in SW meetings and or discussion to make SW better

  • Conduct hands-on tasks while operating tools

  • Source leads for potential opportunities

  • Create/contribute with means of improving our systems and processes

  • Involvement in design, drafting, and engineering tasks in all areas of interest to SW.

  • Learn new tools and teach others

  • Willingness to assist others unexpected problems arise

  • Some overtime/weekend work including answering phone calls after hours (we don’t have set schedules)

  • Manage projects and people

  • May be required to lift heavy equipment and become trained to go on location.

  • Willingness to mentor

Other Requirements

  • Familiarity with codes and standards of ASTM, ASME, and API

  • Ability to work extended work schedules

  • Good mathematical skills including geometry, and trigonometry

  • Detail oriented

  • Organized and able to communicate with customers effectively
